Abstract:

The precise magnesium is used as a kind of reducing agent in the sponge titanium production process. The effect of the impurity content in the precise magnesium on the quality of the sponge titanium product was studied. The source of the main impurity and the way to remove them were analyzed. The factors influencing sponge titanium quality and the measures of reducing the impurity content in it were summarized.
