Abstract:This paper use “one step method” flame spray-welding to make wear resistance coating, use Ni 60 powder to make transition layer, and use WxC+Ni60 powder to make strenthening layer. The coating was cooled in Ar atmosphere, this can avoid oxidation. The transition layer has good bonding with Ti6Al4V substrate, there no holes and other defects. The tungsten carbide particles are disperse in the strengthing layer, there are a lot of voids at the interface the transition layer/ strengthening layer. The hardness of strgenthening layer is 1230HV, which is more than 3 times higher than Ti4Al4V substrate. Compared with Ti6Al4V substrate, the friction cofficient is reduced about 60%. The spray-welding layer grinded with GCr15 and Si3N4, the layer has no obvious wear, but GCr15 and Si3N4 wear serious, respective. The spray-welded layer shows excellent wear resistance.
