    Abstract:

Titanium and its alloys are wildly used in aerospace, chemical and biomaterials industries since its high strengths, good corrosion resistance and excellent biocompatibility. For titanium, which has been used as one of the most important biomaterials, the casting method is the most important way to produce implantable products such as spinal cage and knee implants before. While, this method is outdated to fit new biomaterials requirement such as personalized implants and precision medicine cure. With the development of the 3D printing technology, producing titanium implants by using 3D printer is becoming more and more popular and important. This paper will mainly discuss the development of 3D printing technology on bio-used titanium and its alloy, and especially focus on porous titanium implants printing. Suggestions for further development on biomaterials 3D printing industry will also be given at the end of the paper.
